The health and wellbeing of our participants is of the upmost importance, so we always make sure there is an element of fitness and self-care in everything that we do.
Once a week or more, the participants participate in a health and fitness program, whether that be swimming, playing sport or doing yoga and weather permitting daily walks around the lake. We run educational programs about healthy eating and how we can take care of ourselves physically and mentally. We have also held ladies pamper days, where our support staff help the participants to do their hair, makeup and nails. On these days, we also chat about women's health (physical and mental). In this safe space they feel as though they can speak freely. |
